  • High body temperature above 40°C
  • Confusion, altered mental state, or slurred speech
  • Hot, dry skin or profuse sweating
  • Rapid pulse and breathing
  • Nausea, vomiting, or headache
  • Seizures or loss of consciousness
  • Muscle cramps or weakness
  • Dizziness or fainting

What can you do?

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day
  • Avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours
  • Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and use sunscreen
  • Stay in air-conditioned or well-ventilated spaces
  • Check on elderly neighbors and vulnerable individuals
  • Never leave children or pets in parked vehicles
  • Take cool showers or baths to lower body temperature
  • Limit caffeine and alcohol consumption
