The test strips are designed to quantitatively measure glucose (sugar) in fresh capillary whole blood from a.) the fingertip, b.) the forearm, c.) the upper arm, or d.) the base of the thumb. The test strips are for use outside the body (in vitro diagnostic use) and are for selftesting or healthcare professional use. These systems are not for use in diagnosis of diabetes mellitus, but are to be used as an aid in monitoring the effectiveness of diabetes control programmes.
